Carbon neutral products and operations

Carbon neutral products and operations

Sustainability has been part of who we are for decades. Every day we base our actions around how we can reduce our impact to create a better world for generations to come. That is why we are proud to announce that we are carbon neutral in everything we do. This is a first in the interior acoustics industry as we have reduced and balanced carbon emissions from business operations and products to zero.

The best of both worlds

Acoustic Timber is a beautiful, high-performance acoustic treatment designed to realistically imitate timber. Lightweight and semi-rigid, Acoustic Timber is made from 100% polyester fibre—giving you the option of an authentic timber look that achieves a high standard of fire compliance, and helps you meet seismic requirements. To ensure a natural, high-end finish, we have hand-picked a selection of premium woodgrains taken from real timber veneers—digitally printed on to the panel surface with a safe, water-based, UV cured ink. Available in Cube Panels and Frontier Acoustic Raft styles Beam 100 and Beam 250, Acoustic Timber is suitable for small to large scale wall and ceiling applications.

New collaboration with Novii

This collaboration introduces a new, innovative ceiling system:

The LA Series brings together boundary-pushing lighting innovation from Novii, with our acoustic expertise to seamlessly transform your ceiling-scape–the system combines Autex Acoustics Frontier baffles and Novii's Tyke Linear System.

By combining lighting and acoustics to create one system, this allows for seamless design, specification and installation.

Designing for accessibility

Using acoustics to create accessible workspaces

Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre

The narrative begins with the façade and continues throughout the building, illustrated in material choices, colours, and structure. Designed as a multi-use space, the exhibition hall is expected to host anything from car shows to large-scale art exhibitions and 2,000 attendee banquets.

Our story

Our story

Autex was born in 1967 over a beer at the Station Hotel pub. Solidified by a sturdy handshake, that casual after-work drink grew—through trial and error, innovation, and a large helping of Kiwi ingenuity—into an award-winning global design business.

Let's create something extraordinary

As creators and innovators, we understand the pursuit of the bold and unusual, the rare and exceptional—the brave, colour-outside-the-lines ideas. Every space you design is unique, therefore, every element—from floor to ceiling—should be tailored to fit. Our customisation tools offer unique avenues for creative expression to help you achieve your vision—all that’s left to explore are the boundaries of your imagination.
